Wednesday Wisdom- Nourish & Recover through relationships

As we close out the series on recovery and the month of July, we want to instill the importance of having strong relationships in your life. There are many reasons nourishing relationships are important, and recovery is very much one of those reasons.

Connecting regularly builds resilience and helps get back after a setback. Whether this set back is physical or emotional, seeking out time with friends and family can help get you back on your feet.

We encourage reconnecting with those that mean the most to you and see what that does to your resilience and ability to bounce back quickly. Make sure to give and receive nourishing touches with loved ones. Hugs and hand-holding have been shown to disrupt the brainwaves that correspond to pain.
